Divorce Mediation

Divorce mediation is a conflict resolution technique designed to assist families to end their marriage in a dignified and empowering manner.  In divorce mediation, the parties negotiate their marital separation directly through a mediator who serves as a facilitator to resolve any impasse along the way.

Divorce mediation is empowering because the parties are able to negotiate their difference directly without the presence of attorneys in the room.  The agreement the couple reach — with  the assistance of a mediator is theirs alone.  By using a mediator the parties do not necessarily forfeit a consultation with an attorney and in fact are encouraged to do so to “proofread” an agreement before it is finalized.
